What is "kitting"?
The term kitting comes from the English word "kit", which translates as building kit or construction kit. In logistics, it describes the compilation of sets from previously defined components or the bundling of different products into a single article number (SKU).
The sets are then forwarded to production and processed there.
Kitting allows you to optimise similar processes in logistics in the long term. This reduces your time and effort, and in the long run you save costs and operate more efficiently.
