The solution for safe sampling

For safe and dependable sampling from reactor boilers, without having to interrupt the ongoing process, Neotecha offers the Type PV sampling device.
Sampling performed during the ongoing process under operating conditions yield dependable and exact results. This constructive solution additionally enables the removal of highly corrosive and/or poisonous media whereby emissions into the atmosphere can be precluded.
The medium is sucked out of the reactor boiler through a highly resistant PFA suction hose in an immersion pipe using a vacuum. The medium rises in the inspection glass through the locking ball valve. This ball valve can also be delivered in a dead space free "C ball" version to prevent the collection of media residues after the sampling. A PTFE hollow ball floats on the rising fluid level in the inspection glass, breaking the vacuum as soon as the inspection glass is filled. This prevents the inflow of fluid into the vacuum line. The sample is then directed from the inspection glass into the sample bottle by atmospheric pressure using a transfer unit.
The sampling device (PV) can be operated manually or with pneumatic drives.
For monitoring the pH value, the device can be additionally equipped with a corresponding probe connection. The medium is drawn from the reactor boiler into the inspection glass, tested there, and then redirected back into the reactor. The pH probe is thereby not exposed to the potentially corrosive medium over a longer period of time. The connection of a continuously working circulation pump is possible if constant monitoring of the pH value is required over a longer period of time. The modular concept of the reactor sampling device can be adapted to meet the requirements of the operator according the version design.
The sampling device is available in stainless steel or in lined versions. The parts in contact with the product are made out of PFA, PTFE or glass. According to the version, the device is suitable for operational pressures up to a max. 10 bar and temperatures up to a max. + 200° C.  The volume of the inspection glass is smaller or equal to the size of the sample bottle in order to eliminate spilling the medium as much as possible. Sample volumes of 150, 250, and 500 ml are available.
